Diploma of Hospitality Management

A practical qualification in hotel, restaurant and event operations with paid placements and a pathway into a bachelor's degree.

About this course

The Diploma of Hospitality Management is a hands-on course for students who want to work in hotels, resorts, restaurants, airlines or events. Teaching takes place in training kitchens, restaurants and simulated front-office environments, and most programmes include a paid industry placement.

The diploma is a recognised pathway: on completion you can usually enter the second year of a Bachelor of Hospitality or Business Management, which saves time and money. It is especially popular in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, where tourism employers actively recruit international students.

It suits students with moderate +2 results who prefer practical learning and want to start working early.
